Before You Go

Daily direct flights are available connecting Jakarta, Bali, and Kupang to Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo.  Some of the best airlines we recommend are Garuda Indonesia, Air Asia, and Citilink.  Our guide will ready to pick you from Komodo Airport or your hotel in Labuan Bajo to Komodo Islands.

The best time to visit Komodo National Park is between April and December during the dry season. The weather is very nice, not too hot with very little to no rain.  You can spot the Komodo dragon all year round. However, the mating season runs from July to August and the nesting season from September to November and spotting the dragons is not as easy during these periods.

Once onboard we provide most of the things you need as we explore Komodo. We provide you with towels, a hairdryer, shampoo and soap. We do recommend you bring the following:
– Reef safe sunscreen.
– Mosquito repellent. When trekking on the islands we can expect mosquitos, but on the boat at sea they normally don’t find us.
– Solid sandals to be more comfortable on the short treks that we make during the trip.
– Any medication you need on a regular basis. We do have a first aid kit for emergencies, as well as motion sickness tablets.
– Cash (Indonesian Rupiah) to buy souvenirs, drinks onboard, and for staff gratuities.
– Rain/Wind jacket for chilly evenings and early mornings.

We offer free trip rescheduling within 24 months, if you are unable to travel due to Covid-19 restrictions.

For Covid-19 related restrictions one of the following must apply:

  • You have contracted the virus within 30 days to departure and can provide medical evidence (certificate/statement) to support this.
  • Your country of residence prevents you from departing due to their governmental restrictions on the embarkation point for your liveaboard trip.
  • Indonesia prevents you from entering due to their governmental restrictions on your country of residence.
If none of these conditions are met, our normal cancellation policy applies.
